Hidden among towering sand dunes, Huacachina is a natural desert oasis formed by underground springs. According to legend, it was created by the tears of a heartbroken Incan princess. Her sorrow gave birth to the lagoon—earning it the name “Huacachina,” or “weeping woman” in Quechua.

We arrive in Cusco, carried by the blessings of the Aguas—multi-dimensional beings embodied in the sacred, snow-capped peaks. These majestic mountains offer a powerful soul-opening, inviting us into deeper connection with spirit and self.

En route to Urubamba—the “Fields of Light”—we pause in Chinchero, a vibrant weaving village where women carry forward ancestral textile traditions using natural dyes and ancient techniques.

Here, we take part in a traditional Kintu ceremony, offering three coca leaves to the mountain spirits, guided by Mama Cuca as we send our heartfelt intentions from the inner Sun to the unseen world.

At first light, with Matías De Stefano we enter the Lost City of the Inkas for a sacred sunrise ceremony with Inti, the Father Sun. As his golden rays rise above the mountains, we receive the light that carries the essence of the soul—nourishing us as Inti Churi, Children of the Sun. Here, in the sacred city aligned with the Central Sun (Inticinti), divine synchronicity flows with ease.

As the morning light bathes the Sacred Valley in gold, we depart our hotel and begin our day by tracing the winding flow of the Urubamba River, lifeblood of the Sacred Valley, until we arrive at the majestic terraces and temples of Pisac. The ancient stonework, aligned with constellations, speaks the language of the stars. The air here carries memory, encoded with the whispers of the Apukunas—the mountain spirits who serve as protectors, teachers, and healers. We walk in ceremony with these mountain beings, feeling their silent presence as we honor them.

From Pisac, we journey towards Cusco, pausing at one of the most breathtaking feats of ancient engineering and spiritual power: Saqsaywaman. Towering stones, some weighing over 100 tons, fit together in perfect harmony—silent giants that echo with thunder and light. This sacred site, shaped in the form of a puma, once hosted the most important ceremonies of the Inca calendar, including the Inti Raymi, or Festival of the Sun.

Saqsaywaman is a temple of lightning, dedicated to Illapa, deity of thunder, rain, and celestial fire. Here, we attune to the primal forces of the sky. As the wind moves through the stones, many feel a surge of clarity, power, or ancestral connection. It is a place to stand strong, remember our sacred path, and open to the cosmos above.

Our final destination of the day is a hidden gem known mostly to local wisdom keepers: Illiapata, the Altar of Light. Tucked in the hills outside of Cusco, this energetic sanctuary rests along powerful ley lines, and according to Andean mythology, it is built upon space stones—celestial rocks gifted by star beings in ancient times.

Here, in a land untouched by modern distraction, we engage in the Solar Practice of the Sunflower. Facing the sun, we align with its codes, breathing in its golden wisdom, allowing our inner light to expand. This is a practice of radiance, of harmonizing with our solar consciousness.

Along the way, we pass through mystical landscapes. One of our key stops is Tinajani Canyon, a hidden gem infused with Incan memory. Here, immense red rock formations rise like ancient sentinels among quiet alpaca farms. The name Tinajani weaves Spanish and Quechua together—tinaja meaning “vessel,” and ni, a Quechua plural—describing the stone "people" carved over millennia by glaciers, volcanic activity, wind, and rain. These “stone people” stand watch over pre-Columbian chullpas, wild puya forests, and a natural amphitheater where spirits still gather. If time and spirit allow, we may be invited into a hidden sanctuary within the canyon—a secret place that channels the light that awakens all it touches.

Our destination: the mighty Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 12,500 feet above sea level. We begin with a visit to the Uros Floating Reed Islands, marvels of human ingenuity and cultural resilience. Built by hand from the totora reeds that grow in the lake, these islands are home to communities who have preserved their traditional ways of life for centuries. From here, we journey onward by boat to Taquile or Amanti Island.

Taquile Island is a place of deep spiritual resonance and extraordinary textile artistry, where intricate woven works tell the stories of nature, cosmic cycles, and ancestral knowledge. The people of Taquile follow sacred principles of Ayni (reciprocity), Munay (love), and Llank'ay (sacred work), living in balance with the sun, moon, and stars. Here, we can tune into the land’s frequencies and open ourselves to spiritual insights.

Amantani Island, known as the “Island of Love,” where peace and tranquility permeate the air. This island holds ancient ceremonial sites like the Pachamama (Mother Earth) and Pachatata (Father Earth) temples, which are thought to have been used for pre-Inkan agricultural and solar ceremonies. These sacred spaces are set atop the island’s hills, offering powerful energy and stunning views of the surrounding lake.

The terraces that cover the island are remnants of ancient pre-Inkan agricultural practices, ingeniously designed to manage water and soil erosion. These terraces, still used by the locals, represent a living testament to the island’s deep connection with the earth and its ability to sustain its people through sustainable, ancestral farming methods.

Amantani also carries astronomical significance, with its sacred hills believed to align with cosmic cycles. Local ceremonies held during the solstices celebrate the balance of masculine and feminine energies, reflecting the Inkan dualistic worldview. Towering chullpas—ancient funerary towers built by the Colla people—stand aligned with the stars, holding sacred codes of rebirth and transition. Influenced by the Tiwanaku civilization, its traditions reflect a deep alignment with the Earth and cosmos.

At Inka Tunuwiri, we’ll engage in an ancestral offering ceremony, tuning into energetic grids said to run through Lake Titicaca and beyond. As we walk the land, we remember the timeless connection between Earth and Stars, grounding ancient frequencies into our own bodies and hearts.

Together, these two sites offer a sacred space for remembrance, activation, and deep inner work—a return to who we truly are.

In the highlands of Peru, we visit one of the lesser-known yet deeply mysterious sites—the Pre-Inka Crop Circles, a landscape shaped by ancient wisdom and cosmic connection. These enigmatic formations offer a glimpse into a time before the Inka, when the ancestors walked in harmony with both Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Stars.

Scientifically, these circular land formations are linked to an advanced pre-Inkan agricultural technique known as Waru Waru. Ingeniously designed, these systems used water channels surrounding raised beds to retain warmth and moisture, creating a microclimate that protected crops from frost and drought. This was a technology of sustainability, long before modern science understood such balance.

Yet, to the awakened soul, these circles are more than functional—they are portals of sacred geometry, expressions of divine design. Many believe they are messages or signs left by the Space Brothers—beings of higher intelligence who shared their wisdom with the ancient people of the Andes. The formations echo the 'Eye of the Mother', a cosmic symbol of divine awareness, forever open to the heavens, receiving and transmitting rays of sacred light.

Located just outside Lima, Pachacamac is one of Peru’s most important spiritual and archaeological sites. Once a major religious center for the Lima, Wari, and Ichma cultures, and later integrated into the Inca Empire, this site spans over 500 hectares and features monumental adobe pyramids, including the Temple of the Sun and the Temple of Pachacamac.

Pachacamac was revered as the home of the god Pachacamac, the creator deity who governed earthquakes and the underworld. Pilgrims from across the Andes journeyed here to consult the sacred oracle, seeking divine guidance. The site’s power and spiritual resonance continue to attract those looking to reconnect with ancient wisdom.
